Lead Kindly, Light: The Roberts Chorale 2019-2020

Hello All!

Wow. Summer has gone by so fast! With the end of summer drawing near, we at The Roberts Chorale have been resting after an incredibly fruitful past season while also preparing for the year ahead. Here are some of the highlights of our upcoming year!

Our fall season has a lot of exciting concerts planned; we'll kick off with a feature in the RWCCO homecoming concert, have our own fall concert, sing at a choral invitational and a NYSSMA showcase, and end with the RWC Christmas Gala. For the spring, we'll kick things off with our 2019-2020 tour: Lead Kindly, Light. We are so excited because this tour will be taking place in Florida! From there, we'll have our annual Choral Honors Festival for high school students, as well as a new event: Choral Prism. Choral Prism will be a concert celebrating all of the Roberts Wesleyan College choirs. In addition to our own group, the Roberts Wesleyan College Women's Choir, Men's Chorus, and Gospel Choir will perform. It will be an exciting and new experience for everyone!

These events are all pretty thrilling, but the most exciting event will happen in the first couple days of school: auditions! We will be holding auditions for both returning and prospective students on August 25-27. If you are interested in joining our family please go to the 'Prospective Students' tab and click 'Audition Information.' Everything you need to know about joining The Roberts Chorale is linked there. Anyone is welcome and all are encouraged to come out and audition! You don't have to be a music major to join The Roberts Chorale!

All these exciting events take a lot of hard work and preparations; but fortunately, our members enjoy taking every opportunity they can to praise God through their gifts and talents. However, we all need prayer in order to maintain a hardworking attitude and a spirit of relentless positivity. If you could add us to your prayers this year, we would greatly appreciate it. Please pray for our spirits; that throughout the highs and lows of this year, we will rely of God to set our paths straight.

I think senior Rebecca Mugnolo sums it up well: "Being in chorale has enriched my life more than I can express." I know a lot of us would agree. Thank you all for your continued support. We look forward to sharing our love for Christ, music, and relentless positivity with you all!
