Tournee En France: Days 1&2 Recap

Updated: May 15, 2019

Bonjour et bienvenue a Paris!

The Roberts Chorale made it to sunny Paris! Despite our jet lag, we have thoroughly enjoyed these past two days of travel and tourism in France. Our tour kicked off at 9:30 AM Sunday morning, when we all boarded the bus to Toronto Airport. Though flying is never an enjoyable experience, the members of our choir were incredibly positive and made the experience fun and exciting! We even livestreamed our Toronto airport performance, where we sang The Conversion of Saul and Elijah Rock!

After we got ourselves settled in Paris, we immediately took off for a full day's worth of sightseeing. Many of our members climbed to the top of the Eiffel tower (including our very own Dr. Potter!) and admired the beautiful city from the Arc de Triomphe. Dr. Barta especially enjoyed observing the many rooftop gardens that populated the buildings of Paris. Finally, we went to the a beautiful restaurant in the Latin quarter of Paris and shared in a delicious three-course meal. All in all, we had a very productive day in Paris, full of laughter, friendship, and music.

Thank you all for following our tour and special thanks to Professor Constance Fee and Mrs. Godwin for sending us encouragements! You can contact the Roberts Chorale directly through our contact box if you want to send us a message!

Au revoir and see you tomorrow for another update!!
